HDKI DK SUMMER CAMP 2024 DETAILS
WHEN:
Friday July 5th, 2024 at 12:30 PM (registration) till Sunday July 7th, 2024 around noon (end of calendar week 27)
BASIC PROGRAM:
Training 3x Friday, 2x (or 3) Saturday, 1x Sunday + other activities in the campus area
All meals are included – but this year (2024) the price is EXCLUDING lodging.
Lodging possibilities: use Odder Park Hotel (at own expense / booking) – or – stay for free in our dojo (bring your own airbed and beddings).

Please note: this is a NEW venue vs previous years!
PRICES:
Odder Karate / HDKI members (incl. international members):
Adults: 600,- kr (EUR 82) — Junior/Kids: 600,- kr (EUR 82 EUR) (under 15 years of age at the time of the camp)
Not HKDI members:
Add 100,- kr (EUR 13) to the above prices.
The prices above is inclusive all meals but exclusive any lodging (unless you are staying in the Dojo), exclusive any optional transportation to/from the venue (see more later) and exclusive the optional Camp T-Shirt (kr. 200,- / 27 EUR adder). Using the Online Registration Form any transportation need can be highlighted as well pre-ordering the camp T-Shirt is possible. Prices for extra family members (not training karate) is the same as for the participants taking the karate trainings.
DEADLINE FOR SIGN UP:
Please register your participation by latest JUNE 3rd 2024.
Please note that there will be limited spaces ie. first come, first served.
A certain amount of spaces will be available for non HDKI members – when filled a waiting list will be set up
CANCELLATION by participant::
Till June 2nd 2024 cancellations will be accepted – and paid amount will be refunded minus an admin fee of 150,00 kr. (EUR 20)
After this day the registration is final and no refunds will be done.
CANCELLATION by HDKI DK:
In the case that the number of participants do not reach a pre-defined minimum level HDKI DK reserves the rights to cancel this event (at a full refund). Decision of such will be taken in due time.
SPECIAL DEMANDS:
If you have special request then please write us an e-mail beforehand and let us know your request.
For other requests (e.g. food allergies, accommodation in our Dojo, travel comments) – such can be mentioned within the online registration form and for esp. the food allergies we will pass this info to the kitchen staff (but no guarantees can be made).
INVITATIONAL LETTER.
Invitational Letter (for Visa applications) will not be done, sorry.

ONLINE (by Credit Card): When registered (above) and when your data have been validated vs. available spaces you will receive a Payment link from us (to be used for Online Payment via Credit Card). When that is paid you are fully registered.

ARRIVING FROM ABROAD:
Billund Airport (BLL) are located reasonable close to the venue with multiple flight options.
IN GENERAL FOR ALL WHICH WILL ARRIVE FROM ABROAD BY PLANE:
The seminar starts this year on Friday noon (12:30 PM registration).

Mostly for people not doing karate or staying longer …
VARIOUS INFO:
Voltage: 220V AC, 60Hz – Central European plug (like the Germans use… and Swedes…and Norwegians… and – well, almost all EU countries use). So, remember a converter plug if you come from UK, US or Japan.
Currency: Danish Kroner (DKK). All major Credit Cards are accepted in most stores, taxi’s etc – but it seems that almost all requires the CHIP versions (or wireless) – so if you want to be sure – have such.
Language: Danish – or let’s call it Danglish … as we inherit so many words from English the language is somehow floating…
Climate: Out of control. Can be warm and nice in July e.g. 20-25⁰C (2018, 2019, 2020,2023) – or cold/windy and raining e.g. 15⁰C-20⁰C (2017, 2022). Prepare for the worst – and it will be good.
Border control: Remember your valid passports – please.
Health: Nearest hospital and emergency room is ~30mins from the camp. We do not plan to use it – but just in case.
CAMP AREA (NEW 2024): In 2024 the camp will be held in our DOJO premises in Odder (all meals are served here) – and if the group becomes larger than what can be hosted in our Dojo a local sports venue (less than 10min in walking distance from the dojo) is pre-booked as a back-up. Whether this will be used or not is subject for # of registrations.
Please note: we also encourage some of our local karate kids to sleep over in the Dojo – so if it starts to be crowded we can/will split into a kids/adult’s section by Dojo 1 / Dojo 2
